Be Inspired. Be Inspiring.

ChangeUp: LA tackles the design challenges of five Los Angeles-based non-profit organizations. The event kicks off at 9:30am on May 30th at Blankspaces in Los Angeles. The projects will be finished by Sunday evening, and will be posted on this website by Monday morning.

What to Expect

You'll show up, grab some (free) coffee and bagels and mingle with some of the top people in the industry. Expect to meet a lot of friendly, excited people wearing black-rimmed glasses and t-shirts with clever slogans. Just kidding. (Or not.)

At 10:00am we'll gather in the conference room and listen to the representatives from the five non-profits introduce their organizations. Each will present a couple projects to the group. At the end of the introductions, you'll make your way over to the representative who's project has inspired you and form a working group. Projects won't be assigned to anyone; the whole point is to work on something that excites you. After that, we get to work!

One super important note: we can't supply computers. So please bring your own laptop. You can definitely still participate without a computer, but having one will make everything easier.

This is no typical day at the office--there's no lengthy approval processes here.The "client" is an active part of the group, and the organization representative has the authority to make the tough calls on the project so there's no waiting, all action. It's going to be awesome.

08:00pm – Projects Complete and Uploaded to ChangeUp website
